Oyster Reef is a spectacular Reese Jones design. Famous for the par 3 sixth hole with breath taking views of the Port Royal sound. The course plays tough with a lot of tight dog legs, requiring a lot of precision and smart decisions off the tee. Attack the dog legs at your own peril, cut it perfectly and you are sitting pretty, shoot through the fairway you are losing strokes. Greens aren’t too tricky but not simple either. The greens have a lot of bite to them and the ball lands soft. Course is in impeccable condition that rivals any course in the island. My only complaint is they did not have the back tees out when I played, making the dog legs that much more difficult. Course plays just over 7k from the tips. You can play under $100 peak season in the mid afternoon which is one of the best bargains on the island.
